We as car owner’s own different types of cars from small to big segment, we insure our car’s either through the dealer or our agent. We have never had the time to go through the car insurance policy is correctly done or not.
We only go through the policy when a claim arises by the time its too late.

We all know that getting our Car Insured is mandatory according to Motor Vehicle Act.

The car policy is of two types one is package/comprehensive one is liability cover.The liability cover is mandatory according to the motor vehicle act.
Since most of our cars are of Mid or High Segment it is ideal to go in for a package cover.

One can get following additional cover’s at an additional premium.
¨      Extra Electrical & non electrical accessories.
¨      Cng or Lpg kit.
¨      Personal accident cover for unnamed persons
¨      Nil depreciation
¨      No claim bonus protection


Check the following in the  Policy Document for possibility of Error’s so that there is no dispute at the time of claims.
1.     Vehicle Number.
2.     Engine Number.
3.     Chassis Number.
4.     Model & Variant.
5.     No Claim Bonus.

Most of the companies now offer cashless settlement options at their listed company authorised workshop so settlement of claims has become faster, simpler & easier for the owners.

Procedure for claims :-
In case of a claim kindly file a police complaint, take the complaint number.
Take the car to the nearest authorised workshop, take an estimate of repair cost.
Call the toll free number of the insurance company lodge the claim.
